Happy Earth day!

Check out some of the fun ways you can help the Earth!
My son came home from kindergarten and had this great plan to clean up trash outside around town, so after I take the kids to the library we are going to see how much we can pick up. They are also excited to do the "energy hogbuster" activity on this website.
Comment and let me know what you did to celebrate Earth day! I would love to hear your ideas for next year.

We celebrated Earth Day by working in our yard! Yipee~gotta love being outside!
For cubscouts we recycled 1 month of newspapers. We had also planned to clean up the neighborhood park but it was rainy so we played 'Recycle Ball'. (Dodgeball played with wadded up newspaper balls)

The Longmont Ward's Earth Day: Abandoned the gas rototiller and tilled the garden by shovel. Fertilized the lawn with chicken, turkey, and cow poop rather than chemicals. Mowed the grass with the hand push mower (now in its 41st year of mowing our lawns) that inspired out neighbor to abandon his gas mower and buy his own hand push mower at a garage sale.
