Ultrasound experience

Well, every thing about this baby has been a surprise. Even though Darren has predicted all along that it would be a boy (he says that about every pregnancy-he is right half the time). Hadlie and I were rooting for a girl and she had pretty much started planning what she was going to do with a baby sister. I also had my heart into really decking this baby in pink and all the girly stuff. Darren and I also had already a name we both really liked. So at the ultrasound when the technician zoomed in on one part of the baby and said.."can you tell?" and it was very obvious to me and Darren that it was a boy, I felt a little sad at first. I was very happy to see that he seems very healthy and was very very wiggly (since I don't feel as much movement with this pregnancy as I did with the others). He was very cute hiding his face behind his hands most of the time. Hadlie kept telling the technician that it is a girl and to look again to make sure. The technician mentioned to us that if she is wrong this time she would have to quit her job. After we got in the car, Hadlie started with a break down that lasted at least an hour. Saying over and over how she is going to be tortured by boys. We tried to console her by saying this guarantees her, her own room and that she'll be the princess of our family; but that didn't seem to help much. She even wrote this really sad note to Isaac (quoted, with spelling and everything): "Dir, Isaac The baby is a boy I will be bathrd mar I ges I'll have to liv withit love Hadlie" When I saw that note I just felt terrible. I didn't want her to feel this way. She was so happy before we found out he is a boy.
Yesterday, I let her take one of the pictures of the baby to school for "sharing". She was excited to show her teacher and classmates. When I picked her up from school, she was very happy and excited and said that she is really happy the baby is a boy and she even kissed my belly. I think she just had her heart set on having and girl and just had to get used to the idea. Now, I feel much more excited and happy. It will be great for Isaac to have a little buddy, especially since they will be the closest in age. Now about names, we can't agree on any. So we are listening for ideas.
